Osegel Hope Center

In 2002, Osegel Hope Center was started because of the drought that had affected many of the Maasai families in this area. The people were in an extremely difficult situation when Special Ministries was asked to help.  There were many school-aged children who were not in school.

Today, Osegel is being used by God to make good changes in the lives of these children and their families.

PRAISE THE LORD - FOR PROVIDING A MUCH NEEDED WELL.  Prior to October 2010, this community had to walk 20 miles to obtain their water from a dirty river.  We are praising God for the provision of a 600 foot well that provides unlimited, sweet, clean water.  The only clean, pure water available for miles around!!

Our  pastor is being used of the Lord to bring the message of God’s love every Sunday, and also daily through his village visits.

We are so grateful for what God is doing at Osegel. We have a church building, six classrooms, and a pre-school building with 2 classrooms.

In March of 2006, a team came to build a duplex for our pastor and his family, and the Head Teacher of the school.   They also built a dining hall and kitchen to be used for our feeding program. It is so neat to see God’s provision for this Hope Center, and we are so grateful for the teams that are willing to come and help us build.

 We also need a clinic at Osegel for the many people who are ill, and walk many miles to find medical help.

We are thankful for our faithful workers at Osegel, and for the way God is using them in so many ways in the chapel, school and among the people of the villages.
